Bombay Chest Remodel

I bought this chest for $25.00 at the Brookdale Senior Living Community where my Mom lives. They were remodeling so they allowed the residents families to bid on all the old furniture! There was quite a bit of damage on the lower right area but I patched, repaired, painted and proceeded!

I love burlap so I found this beautiful fabric several months ago that you will recognize in some of my other projects. After I painted the chest satin black, I cut the burlap to fit the drawers and glued them. I cut a piece for the top but did not glue it because the heavy glass top that came with the chest was heavy enough to hold it in place. I replaced the drawer pulls on the top three shelves with glass knobs but kept the Lion Head pulls on the bottom shelf. (Reminds me of ASLAN!)

Vintage Reproduction Door from Vintageworks

My new Vintageworks door just arrived!
It took Michael and I an hour to remove it from the shipping crate!
Have to hurry and paint the first coat before it gets dark so it there wont't be any danger of warping.
I will post the finished product after it's painted and hung.

COOL OLD FLOOR CABINET MAKEOVER

Have not posted anything new for a while.  Will try to update now.  I found this old, broken lonely cabinet in the back of an Salvage/Antique shop in Asheville last year.  I had been looking for a small narrow cabinet to place in a particular spot in my kitchen.

Doesn't she look pitiful?
I had to replace one of the glass panels. I painted her with ASCP.Antique white and then distressed
her. I lined the back of the cabinet with some colorful fabric.

Finished and happily at home!
